  • The weather has terrible this year so far with numerous fronts coming thru with high winds but the water temps are finally close to 70 degrees. Fishing has definitely picked up. Even on days where high winds persist we are catching good numbers of reds on soft plastics, spoons, and spinner baits. Its time to break out the popping corks and go to work. Fish are chewing on the outgoing tide around creeks, ditches, and grass flats as the water falls out. The past week some grown ones have been mixed in with the.. (Read More)

  • With the fluctuations in the weather lately, the fishing has been just as unpredictable. We have had several days with outstanding numbers of redfish and have had some slow days also. With the warm weather creeping back the redfish bite will become more consistent. The flounder and trout will also be showing up in good numbers soon. Several flounder have already been caught and we had a 14” speckled trout last week! The redfish have been schooled up in large schools throughout the day but as the water heats up they will start to disperse during the higher tide.. (Read More)

  • Wow! 2019 is here after 2018 went by in a seemingly blur. After a few changes in our fleet, we are now solely a Kencraft-Bayrider company. Starting 2019, we have 2 Bayrider Skiffs, and a Bayrider 239 Bay. These are truly top of the line inshore boats that can accommodate several different types of fishing. Although we went through some of the roughest and rainiest weather to date in the Cape Fear region, we were able to crank out another successful and fun filled year with some of the BEST customers and friends. Now that we are now in.. (Read More)

  • Trophy Size Tuna & Wahoo In The Gulf Stream - Posted to Seagull Bait and Tackle Fishing Report by Cbfishing.com Press
  • It’s time for Spanish Mackerel and I’m here to tell you there are plenty out there. The piers are getting their share of Spanish. The size is still a little small. The biggest I have heard of was around one and a half pounds. Five to ten miles out there are plenty of mid-size King Mackerel around the fifteen-pound range. On the bottom, Black Bass and Snapper are really starting to bite. If you run to the Gulf Stream, well, that’s another story. Plenty of Tuna and Wahoo and some are trophy size. The surf has been producing some.. (Read More)
