Any way back to fishing news, the waters are slam full of red drum. A few speckled trout are showing up in the river, along with a few of the big yellow fin spots everyone’s waiting for, they should be coming in good in the next few weeks.
This is gonna be a short report because we’re in the middle of moving and will be a month or so before I can get a new one to you so here goes……… Flounders are getting bigger, still alot of small 13 and 14 inches being caught though.

It’s getting better. Some small whiting have showed up on the end of Kure Beach Pier.
It’s March and things should start warming up soon. I have heard of some Whiting caught down off Holden Beach.
It is still a little early in the season but there is a little bit to talk about. There are still some trout down by the rocks at Fort Fisher. They are also in the waterway by the old docks.
We’re gearing up for the season, hope you are too. Fishing right now is pretty slow. A few trout and red drum have been caught in the river and bays. Sharks are everywhere if you’re looking for a good fight, average size is 2 to 4 feet. Don’t forget your pass for the south end …
