Kure Beach Pier & Stretch 25’s

So what did you get for Christmas? A G.P.S.? A new four-stroke motor? A fancy chart plotter or depth finder? A new car or truck! Great presents right? Well, if your like me – but just won’t admit it and I’m sure at least 50% of you are – how do these things work! Oh great, it comes with a CD ROM or whatever that Frisbee looking wana-bee record shape thing is. But what do you do with it? Did anyone ever tell those companies us 40+-year-old people were not taught on computers? I can barely turn it on! I know I’ll ask one of the kids and swear them to secrecy not to say anything. Us middle aged folk need some help from the big companies. We’re not all Bill Gates or rocket scientists. How about taking some of those fishing shows that take two weeks of hard fishing to produce a half hour to show us what the man overboard button means before I throw it overboard. Reading the directions is not always the best way to learn how to work something. Anyway, Striped Bass are being caught up the river on the usual bait – Stretch 25’s. Speckled Trout are also plentiful up and down the river. This past weekend I heard they were catching Black Drum between the legs of the Kure Beach Pier. Keep fishin and releasin… Steve and Karen Labanec
