Fishing? Don’t Forget The Camera!

On the piers they are reporting good catches of spots, flounder, Virginia mullet, blue fish, croaker and black drum. In the surf there are reports of spots, croaker, puppy drum, flounder, bluefish, black drum, pompano, Virginia mullet and sharks being caught. Offshore, there are reports of king mackerel, dolphin, sailfish and Spanish mackerel being caught. For bottom fishing, people are reporting catches of grouper, snapper, black bass, grunts and grey trout. Inshore we are catching speckled trout, red drum, flounder, croaker, spots, pigfish and large bluefish. This week’s fishing tip: You have your fishing rod, your tackle box, and your bait, but where’s your camera? Any time you are around the ocean you are liable to see things that you really wish you had a picture of. It might be a large fish that you’ve landed, a large school of porpoises playing in the water, a shrimp trawler at sunrise, etc. Years down the road you’ll be so glad you had that disposable camera in your tackle box when you’re looking at pictures of you and your friends! If you have some fishing pictures that you would like to share here in the photo gallery, you can email them to admin@cbfishing.com. Keep fishing and stay safe. Captain John Carty
