Spring is just around the corner and so is the fishing. Are you ready for the season? Have you been taking care of your equipment? I hope so. Did you know that gas turns to varnish? Great if you went to the boat yard last fall and got some of that stabilizer for your gas. Or did you? That works for what’s in the tank but if you did not run the boat it’s not going to help the carburetors, so maybe that’s something you need to look at. Well, there are a few trout in the yacht basin and I still hear about some puppy drum in the waterway. Black Drum should also start showing up soon along with the Blue Fish. The water temperatures are starting to climb and sixty degrees is not far off. We are now open weekends from around nine in the morning until three in the afternoon. Around the middle of this month we will reopen on the weekdays. We are still looking to fish more and work less, so the for sale sign remains up. Hopefully it will remain a tackle shop. Mike at Kure Beach Pier is still leaving the gate open so all of you with cabin fever can go wet a line. Thanks Mike, we appreciate you doing that.
