They’re Biting

I told you so! They’re biting and that’s for sure. The surf is hot right now. Pompano are back with really nice size catches. They’re being caught just from just about any part of the strand. People are also catching Blue Fish, Puppy Drum and some Flounder from the surf. The only fish we have not seen much of is Black Drum. Maybe the water is a little too warm. The Drum that are being caught are good size and a lot of them are over the size limit. We have not heard much about late night fishing yet, but it’s about time for it to start. Just off the beach on the inshore reefs and wrecks, Grey Trout and some Flounder are showing back up. Further offshore, bottom fishing is still great with lots of Snapper and good size Grouper. On top of that, Wahoo have taken over as the biggest we saw this past week was fifty pounds. Inshore, the river and waterway are full of big Red Drum. Most of them are way over the slot but what a fight. It’s well worth the trip. There should be some great fishing now through October. Some of the best of the year, so take that day off and catch a bog one! Keep fishin and releasin… Steve and Karen Labanec Seagull Bait and Tackle
