CarolinaExplorer 12-6 fishing report:) Lots of Redfish (Red Drum), plenty of action with trout and whiting!!

Sorry for the delay in fishing reports. I went to Connecticut and New Jersey to do recovery work for AT&T after Hurricane Sandy.  I returned in late November and landed right back on the fish.  We have been killing the red fish on jigs and bait. Every trip has been in the double digits, plenty of rod bending fun. They are hungry and willing to bite. Most of the fish are on the small side with a majority being 16 to 19 inches with several bigger slot fish on every trip.  Strike King minnows, Gulp alive, some days a cigarette butt would work.  The Redfish are here all Winter, Call me 910-264-1807 and we will pick a day with a good tide and weather. The trout have been hitting tsunami swim baits, mirro-lures, and live shrimp. I have been mostly plug fishing catching plenty of trout.  Here again lots of small fish, plenty of action, with a few keepers mixed in as well. The whiting bite has been great in the River. Lots of big fish and puffer fish biting shrimp and cut bait. If you want to fill the cooler with great tasting fish, then come on down, lets go.  Thanks for reading the report.  A fishing charter makes a great Christmas present and I have Gift certificates. Call today 910-264-1807.

Jack battling a red fish for all he is worth.

Jack (age 5) with a nice red fish he landed on his own.  We taught him to cast a spinning rod, bait his hook, hook the fish, and fight the reds all the way to the boat.  He is on the way to become a Great fisherman. I wanted to change his shirt to read “Get Reeling”!!!

Laurie, Jack mom, with a great multi-spot red fish.  Jeremy and Laurie had a blast catching fish and watching Jack catch fish. Lots of pic, to many to post, and great memories.

Jack with another red and I am taking one off the hook in the back ground.  The action can get hot at times.  Look at us, T-shirts in December, now that is nice.

Laurie with another great Winter red fish in Carolina Beach.  She didn’t catch the most, but always managed to land the big ones. Jeremy caught plenty of reds as well.

Robbie, pro-bass guide on world renowned “Lake Kingfisher”,  with a great Red fish. He landed this one on a Gulp. Lost of action this day. Both of our arms were sore.  A triple digit day.

Vaughn King with a solid 4.5lb speckled trout landed on a Strike King minnow in space guppy color. One of several he landed.

The whiting are biting. Come on down and get in on this cooler filling fun. Great eating fish and they fight hard for their size.

On a day off, what do I do, go fishing. Here is a nice stringer of trout landed on mirro-lures. Lots of fun and great eating.

Charlie, aka the Lost Boy, with a small red fish he landed in the creeks.  Lots of action this day, mainly with small fish, a few keepers mixed in.  I put this pic in to show the beauty of the marsh. Just a quiet relaxing day on the water catching fish. Now that is what life is all about.

Dave and Charlie.  Dave is hooked up fighting a red while my dad is holding his fish.  The action can be non-stop at times.  Come on down and get in on this great action. Call and book your trip Today 910-264-1807!!!!!
