A few red drum are being caught in the surf & in the back bays. They are very hard to get to bite because of the water temperature so you have to move very slow with your presentation of bait. Catching a few small speckled trout in the Cape Fear River & in the boat basins on artificial bait. In the Cape Fear River up around Wilmington & in the Brunswick River catching some striped bass & some nice size speckled trout. At the mouth of the Cape Fear the spring run of Virginia mullet is just starting using shrimp on bottom rigs. Don’t forget no speckled trout until June 15. Keep fishing & stay safe.
