In the surf the ocean has been so calm this past week that the fishing has been a little slow. Catching a few bluefish, red drum, speckled trout, Virginia mullet, flounder, pompano, & stingrays.
On the piers spots, small croaker, flounder, bluefish, pompano, stingrays, & sharks.
Inshore rivers & bays, some red drum, black drum, sheepshead, small speckled trout, flounder, Virginia mullet, croakers, spots, bluefish, blowfish, & stingrays.
The fish are starting to move back into the river as it continues to clean up from all the rain. The water temperature is still warm so fishing this next week should continue to improve. Keep fishing & stay safe.

Curtis caught this 22 lb red drum while fishing at the mouth of the Cape Fear with a No. 2 spot hook & shrimp. (Thought it was a stingray. Surprise)
