Nice catches of red fish with some of these drag screamers over the slot
Despite the recent brush of Hurricane Arthur, fishing in the Carolina Beach area is getting back to normal. This past week we’ve had nice catches of red fish with some of these drag screamers over the slot. We are also seeing some good size flounder and speckled trout showing up in our inlets and around the islands in the Cape Fear River. Near shore we are still seeing good numbers of spanish mackerel and bonita while trolling or site casting when weather permits. Down around the Bald Head Island area we are picking up nice size flounder, speckled trout and red fish.
