Welcome all fishermen and fisherwomen! My name is Steve Labanec and my wife Karen and I own Seagull Bait and Tackle in Carolina Beach, NC. We’re your real bait and tackle shop (aka “boys club”) for all the true fishermen out there. Each year we throw an Annual Fall Surf Fishing Tournament, which originally started out with nine people, and this year we topped 409! Check out our picture pages to view some pics of a past tournament. We believe in having a good time and fair fishing, and we give out tons of prizes. For the top fishers in certain catagories (flounder, drum, etc) we present cash prizes (the big money!),glass trophies, and Key Largo Rods and high dollar reels. We also have what we call ‘fish bowl prizes’ in which everyone who caught an edible and legal fish and entered has a certain amount of fish bowl tickets. All of our sponsors and local businesses donate prizes which we give out on the raffle. We also give out tons of fishing poles and other fishing accessories! This is one tournament you do not want to miss! Come stop by the store and prepare to fish!
