Carolina Beach Fishing Report, Reel Adventure 6-2-09

Hello everyone and sorry for the lack of reports latley. We have been busy with charters and busy tracking down the fish. This spring started off with a bang and then bottomed out (at least for me). I think we are finally back on the same page (me and the fish) and the past few charters have had some great catches!

Inshore: The flounder and trout bite has been steady. The red drum are here but are spread out now with the warmer water temps.  Live bait and Berkley Gulp! and DOA shrimp have been producing well.

Nearshore: The spanish bite has been decent, not bad but decent for this time of year. The cobia, dolphin, and amberjacks are biting well from 10 miles out with a few cobia seen right off the beach. The king mackerel are starting to move in closer and the bite is picking up. Shark season is right around the corner.

We are booking up fast. Give us a call to set up your charter!

Summer is in full swing and I hope I can say with some degree of certainty that the fishing is also!

Here are the pics, I will let you decide!

Thanks!

Check out the color change of the Dolphin in the pics below! The photos were taken seconds apart. This is common but this is the first time I was able to get it on camera.
