The Carolina Beach fishing is on fire right now! Today I fished with repeat customer Eric and his friend Adam. We had a great time fishing the calm waters of the cape fear river for red drum and flounder with artificials and topwater lures. We had many blowups on the topwaters and sight casted to many reds pushing water. We ended up with 5 red drum, 5 flounder, (with one almost weighing 5 pounds) a BIG croaker and a few bluefish. All of the flounder were caught on SS minnows. Thanks again guys and I look forward to fishing with you guys this fall and hopefully in Florida this winter!
Nearshore our Carolina Beach fishing charters and Wrightsville Beach fishing charters are doing great. We are targeting the large sharks right behind the shrimp boats about a 1/4 mile off of the beach. These are great family trips. We see lots of dolphins, pelicans and manu sharks on the surface that you can see with your own eyes. They are in a frenzy and are as fun to watch as they are to catch!
