August fishing in the Cape Fears backwaters has made an improvement despite the heavy rains in the region,catching red drum,flounders,speckle trout.I expect the inshore bite to continue to improve as fall is fast approaching.This past week I found spots that produced some really great drum fishing we had one day with over sixteen slot size red drum,and they were still biting when I left.
