Fishermans Information Station
B&B Bait & Tackle is located at 1301 Bridge Barrier Road, it is convenient to the Carolina Beach boat ramp, the State Park, Fort Fisher or the popular fishing piers in this area. The ample parking (more available than any other bait shop on the island) also makes it easy to pull a boat and trailer near the store; a luxury that seems an obvious need. Buddy had been a commercial fisherman for forty years, and Adam and his brother grew up on the water. Because of the experience of the owners and employees, each fisherman who stops by receives the benefit of know-how garnered over many years. “I like to call B & B the fisherman’s information station,” says Adam, adding that the store was a dream of the Burton family for two years before the doors opened. . In fact, selling the bait and tackle works in tandem with advice from the men on what?s biting and where it?s biting; as well as how to keep your catch fresh when you reel it in, and every tip in between.
