This past week the fishing has still been a little slow. We are still catching a few striped bass up around the Wilmington area, an occasional red drum, & some nice size speckled trout. Water temperature in the ocean before this cold snap was between 50 & 55 degrees.

In the river the water temperature has been between 48 & 50 degrees. I am sure it is colder now which will shock the fish for a few days. For those that have boats that have been sitting you need to start them up so the fuel can circulate & keep it from gumming up. Keep fishing & stay safe.
