Fishing Tip #6820: This past week has been extremely windy. This makes it very hard for surf fishing to keep your tackle from washing ashore due to the current. The key is to fish at low tide in between sandbars. The sandbars will block the current.

What’s Hit’n:

In the surf a few nice sized bluefish, black drum, Virginia mullet, & some small croaker.

On the piers small flounder, Spanish mackerel, a few large bluefish around the 10 lb. range, shark, Virginia mullet, & small croaker.

Inshore Spanish mackerel, bluefish, a few speckled trout, red & black drum, Virginia mullet, & small croaker.

Keep fishing & stay safe.
