The Fall Surf Fishing Tournament is coming up on October 7, 8, and 9 and this could be a great year for fall fishing. As for now, the surf is still producing lots of Croaker along with some real nice size Flounder and Whiting.
Well, another week of hot weather has past and we have seen some nice fish. The surf is giving up some decent Flounder from any structure such as pier pilings, old wrecks, drain pipes and even rocks and deep holes.
One thing is for sure, we are into the summer dull drums. But there are still a few fish around. Flounder fishing seems to be hit or miss right now.
Big Flounder were biting this past week. We have weighed in several big flatty’s all the way up to Debbie Harrill’s nine pound two ounce Flounder.
Everything is biting right now. The river is producing Flounder and Puppy Drum. Some real big Speckled Trout are still holding up at the southern end of the river.
