Fall Fishing Report for Carolina Beach – 10/5/11

We have had execellent fall fishing, water temp is down in the 70s and the fish are moving. We’ve had nice catches this past weekend of Speckled Trout, big Blues and citation Flounders. The Flounder bite is on with some of these fish ranging from 2.5 to over 5 lbs this past week. Live bait has been the choice of baits, fished on a Carolina Rig. Check out the pictures below from this past weeks fishing trips.

Carolina Beach Fall Fishing Report – 9/21/11

Fishing in the Carolina Beach area continues to be strong and as the water temperatures cool the fishing is only going to get better. We are still catching nice flounder, speckled trout, and big red fish. The spanish mackerel bite continues right off shore. This has been putting the tasty fish in the cooler. Some of our nearby reefs are also producing some nice flounder and a few gray trout. Now is the time to catch that “door mat” flounder that everyone talks about.

So grab the kids and lets go fishing.

Charlie’s Charter Fishing Report – Nearshore/Inshore for Carolina Beach & Wrightsville Beach – 8/18/11

Fishing in the Carolina Beach area remains to be strong with nice catches of flounder, grey trout, red drum and spanish mackerel. This has been putting the tasty fish in the cooler. Some of our nearby reefs are also producing some nice flounder and a few gray trout. We are also catching some nice spanish while trolling outside the inlets with some of these fish weighing in the 2 -4 lb range.

So grab the kids and lets go fishing.

The fishing in Carolina Beach has been awesome this week with nice catches of flounder, while drift fishing the ICW. This has been putting the tasty fish in the cooler. Some of our nearby reefs are also producing some nice flounder and a few gray trout are also showing up. We are still catching some nice spanish trolling outside the inlets with some of these fish weighing in the 2 -4 lb range.

NC Fishing Report for Carolina Beach by Charlie’s Charters

Red Drum are finally showing up along the dock’s in the ICW and Carolina Beach Inlet with some nice sizes, remember you are only allowed one fish per person per day but what a fight they put on.

Right offshore the Spanish Mackerel are showing up in good numbers, what a blast to sight cast to. There have also been some nice King’s mixed in with the Spanish.

Shark fishing is here so if you want a fight they will be more than glad to give you one you won’t forget.

NC Fishing Report for Carolina Beach by Charlie’s Charters

Water temps are in the 80s and the fishing has been great in the Carolina Beach area down to Bald Head Island. We have had some nice catches of Flounder, Speckled Trout and Red Drum using live bait on a Carolina Rig. Live bait is still everywhere and Finger Mullet should start showing up anytime, I can’t wait. We’ve been catching Flounder all along the ICW and Carolina Beach Inlet. The Speckled Trout bite is good along the Cape Fear River using artificial DOAs and live shrimp on float rigs work really well.

Red Drum are finally showing up along the dock’s in the ICW and Carolina Beach Inlet with some nice sizes, remember you are only allowed one fish per person per day but what a fight they put on.

Water temps are in the 80s and the fishing has been great with nice catches of Flounder, Speckled Trout and Red Drum using live bait on a Carolina Rig. Carolina Beach and Wrightsville Beach Fishing Report – 5/15/11

Fishing season is in full swing right off shore. Nice Spanish are being caught anywhere from Carolina Beach to Wrightsville Beach with a few Kings mixed in. Sight casting to these fish have been a blast.

Inshore – despite the weather today we pulled off a great catch of Flounder, Drum and Blues. So for a fun day on the water book your trip today and maybe you can hook up like these guys did . So be safe and have fun fishing whether catching or not.
