Well the redfishing is still going strong, just look at the pics and see for yourself.  Most of these fish have been on lures, but we can use bait if you want too.  Sometimes just kicking back and relaxing is the best way to catch fish.  Either way, I will be glad to put you on some great redfish action.  As you can see the redfish have been the main attraction.  That being said, the whiting and a few black drum have been biting as well.  Spring is just around the corner and we will see the trout (which we can’t keep until June ), blues,  more black drum,  gray trout,  and a few flounder start to show up in the next few weeks.  Thanks for reading the report and remember to have fun and be safe on the water.

Nick with a slob of an inshore redfish, 28inches and weighed almost 10lbs on the boga grip.  His biggest redfish ever.

We have been catching lots of redfish on lures over the past few weeks. Mostly on Gulp Alive, strikeking minnows, and the Cajun Ho-Ho… Everyone no matter the skill level has caught fish and had lots of fun.  It is a joy to watch the first timers catch a fish on a lure, or a seasoned fisherman catch one of many.  Having the women and kids catch redfish on plugs is what I enjoy most, this time of year.  If you want to catch your 100th or 1st give me a call.  I can treat you and your family to a great day on the water, and some fine redfishing action. Call me today 910-264-1807, Winter Rates in Full Effect until the end of this month.

Canyon with one of many redfish he caught all by himself on a gulp pogey. Way to go canyon, see you in the spring.

Kenny with a nice 28inch redfish that fell for a Cajun ho-ho in the full moon color.  Kenny did not post the numbers of canyon, but he made up the difference with nice size reds.

Wes with a nice birthday redfish. God bless you and your service to our country.

Jessy with a nice 29inch redfish. Thanks for your service to our country.

Kayla with one of many Carolina Beach redfish she reeled in between the boys..

After this trip Ann clearly loves catching redfish. The redfish in Carolina beach are very lucky.

Ann was posting the numbers while her son Nathan cheered her on.  What a great family fishing trip.

Nathan got in on the action with several nice redfish of his own..

Jack was a hoot to fish with, all of 71yrs young!!! He and his wife Joan had a blast catching reds and enjoying the great Carolina Beach scenery..  It looks a lot different than Canada..

Joan holding a nice red, I look foward to fishing with her and Jack this Fall.

Jamison with one of several nice redfish she landed on lures.  See you guys this spring…

Life long friend and fellow guide, Capt. Walter Bateman.  He runs Coastal Carolina Guide Service in the North Topsail/Swansboro area. We caught lots of reds on a cool windy morning.. Nothing better than fishing with old friends.  Good luck with the new addition to the family..
