Inshore the fishing has been great. The redfish are biting jigs, topwater, and natural baits. Strike king and D.O.A minnows on 3/8 jigs are producing most of the fish. We are picking up trout and flounder on these lures as well. If you want to kick-back and relax the fish are more than willing to bite shrimp or live minnows fished on a cork or bottom rig. If you are looking for some great inshore fishing action, now is the time to call 910-264-1807 and book your trip today!!

Off the coast the fishing has been heating up as well. We are catching lots of bluefish and spanish mackerel. If the fish are feeding on the surface, we can cast spoons. Most of the action has been trolling clarkspoons for the spanish and blues. Bottom fishing with cut bait or shrimp we are catching nice grey trout, big seabass, croaker, and whiting. Plenty of action and great cooler filling fun. There have been a few sharks hitting our lines as well. Now is the time to plan your summer fishing trip, call 910-264-1807 and reserve your trip today!!

Hello everyone!! The spring fishing is going great, we are having plenty of action. The action for the red fish has been steady, we are catching the Red fish on lures and bait. The reds are biting on Gulp, strike king minnows, mud minnows, and shrimp. The fish are starting to look up, so that means the top water and crank bait bite will get better with the improving weather and water temps. The flounder are holding in the deep holes in the creeks and around the inlets. Jigs slow rolled along the bottom and live baits have been catching the flounders. A few trout are in the mix as well, mirro-lures, gulp, and live minnows are taking few of the specks over the shell bottom areas in the creeks and inlets. The black drum are biting around the docks and rock piles in the river. Off the coast the blues and Spanish have been biting spoons and jigs over the rock piles and wrecks. Bottom Fishing off the coast has produced grey trout, sea bass, ring tails, croaker, and whiting on fresh shrimp. No matter what you want to do, we are catching fish and having a great time on the water. Give me a call at 910-264-1807 and book your fishing adventure Today!!!!

April fishing is going strong. We have been catching Redfish, Black drum, a few flounder and trout, and lots of whiting. The bluefish and spanish mackerel are showing up and will be here in great numbers in the next few weeks. The warm weather has got the fish on the move and showing up early. We are catching the Redfish on Gulp pogies, Strike King minnows, and D.O.A paddle tails. We are using Pro-Cure scents on the lures to attract the slow to bite fish. When all else fails we can throw a few minnows and shrimp to boost the numbers and catch ratio. We have been catching a few black drum, trout and flounder when fishing for the reds. This action will only get better into the early summer. The whiting have been biting on a regular basis. These hard fighting, great tasting fish will be here for a few more weeks. The bluefish and a few spanish are showing up off the coast on a daily basis. In the next few weeks this action will be off the Hook!!!! Give me a call and I will be gald to show you and your family a great fishing trip 910-264-1807!! Now is the time to enjoy this nice weather and hot fishing action.

Inshore the fishing has improved with the rising water temps. The whiting are biting great on fresh shrimp or cut bait. I have not seen a run of whiting this good in several years. Come on down and get in on this great action and cooler filling fun!! We are also catching a few red fish in the flats and creeks. The baits are gulp shrimp, strike-king minnows on a 1/4 or 3/8 ounce jig-head. Remember to fish slow to keep it in the strike zone as long as possible. We have been picking up a few flounder and trout while fishing for the reds. Some of the flounder have been nice keepers, it is early for these fish, just a sign of the above normal temps. we have been having. When the reds have been stubborn, we have thrown some minnows, shrimp, or crab to entice a few bites. We have picked up a few small black drum on the baits as well. It is a great time to come on down to the coast and fish with the family and friends. The weather is great and the fishing is going to kick off a month early. The water temps. are already in the 60’s. That means the trout, flounder, blues, bonito, and spanish will be showing up early this year. GIVE ME A CALL IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR WANT TO BOOK A GREAT FISHING ADVENTURE 910-264-1807.

These fish are fun to catch and make great table fare. If your interested in booking a trip or have any question give me a call at 910-264-1807.

Happy New Year to you and your family. Thank you to everyone who fished with me this past year. I enjoyed making new friends and seeing regular fishing buddies. In 2012, I look forward to carrying each and everyone of you again. Now here is the report, Inshore we are catching red fish in the flats and creeks. There are some big schools on the flats, we need calm winds for this. Sight casting to these hard fighters with get anyone’s blood pumping. We can fish the creeks for redfish no matter what the wind is doing. To catch the red fish we are using Strike King minnows, D.O.A paddle tails, Gulp Alive shrimp and minnows, on 1/4 or 3/8 jig heads. We have been applying Pro-Cure and Carolina Lunker Sauce in mullet and shrimp scent, to entice even the stubborn fish. If you want to kick back and relax, we will throw mud minnows, shrimp, and mullet. Whatever it takes for you to catch fish. For the trout we have been throwing Mirro-Lures in a variety of colors. It seems anything with pink works on the dirty water days and on the clear days the ole red head white body. Put a little scent on them and fish slow and persistent. The fish are there, it just takes a little time to entice them to bite. the goal of every trip is to have a great day on the water and catch as many fish as we can. I am still offering my REDFISH WINTER RATES $250.00 for 6hrs and $300.00 for 7hrs on my flats boat. I have AFFORDABLE LODGING starting at $50.00 a night. Give me a call and get in on this Great Winter Action 910-264-1807.

Well the winter redfish bite is still going strong. Lots of nice fish and they are hungry, getting ready for a cold winter. We are catching them all on lures. Mostly jigs with gulp alive, stikeking minnows, D.O.A minnows, and when they are stubborn shrimp or mudminnows. Lots of fun on the small spinning gear. The whiting are still around in good numbers. We are catching them on bottom rigs with cut shrimp or mullet in the river. The trout are biting as well on D.O.A shrimp, Mirro-lures, and tsunami swim baits. Lots of small trout with a few nice ones in the mix.

Hello to all, Thanks for reading the report. We are catching fish and having great days on the water. Inshore the Red fish, flounder and a few trout have been cooperating on a daily basis. We have had some strong winds, but remember it is always calm in the back waters and sounds. We have been catching the red fish and flounder on 3inch gulp shrimp, strike king minnows, D.O.A minnows and Finesse jerkbaits on jig heads. The trout are biting DOA shrimp, Billy Bay Shrimp, strike king minnows, and various mirro-lures. Spray some fish juice on the lure and cast. Mud minnows, mullet, shrimp, and live shrimp have been working as well. The wind has kept us off the ocean over the past few weeks. We have been fishing the calm waters and enjoying some great inshore fishing. Now is a great time to book your Fall or Winter fishing trip. I have some great Winter Rates and affordable oceanfront lodging if you want a package deal. Call 910-264-1807 and book your trip today!!!!!

Riley and Daniel with a double on Red fish. I held the pole and Riley cranked it to the boat. She insisted on holding both fish. Fisher women in the making. She also wanted everyone to know that hers was bigger than her moms.

This pic is cool because Chris caught this flounder on a bare hook. He is holding the minnow that fell off during his cast. He casted saw the minnow fall, reeled in the line, felt a bite, and caught this small flounder that we released.

We survived Hurricane Irene. It just brushed us in Carolina Beach, my thoughts and prayers go to all the residents and charter fleets north of Morehead City.

Sorry for the long delay in reports. Just too busy catching fish and having fun to sit in front of the computer, so I made myself sit down today. Inshore the redfish bite has picked up on the flats and creeks. The cooler temps and mass amounts of bait has turn these hard fighting fish on. We have been casting soft plastics, gulps and other paddle tails grups to these hungry fish. We have been picking up some flounder on the lures. We have been catching them on mullet and mudminnows as well. No matter your skill level I can put you on the fish, from flyfishermen to kids wanting a tug on their line. Call and book your trip today 910-264-1807.

Just off the coast the spanish bite has been hot, and I am sure it will continue when the water clears up over the weekend. The bluefish are mixed in with the spanish, signs that fall will be here soon. The flounder have been biting well over the nearshore wrecks and reefs on mullet and bucktails tipped with gulp. The sharks have been thick behind the shrimp boats, on good days you and can catch them until your arms get sore.

Fishing is good and will continue to get better over the fall. Just ran a trip on 8-30 and caught 12 flounder(5 keepers) and Several redfish. Not bad for two days after the strom. Just a sign the fish are still here, where are You? Call and book your fishing trip today 910-264-1807.
