Hello everyone,
Inshore we have been catching lots of red drum. Casting around the grass banks and oyster beds has been producing the best action. We can use live bait or lures, depending on your skill level. The trout are showing up, we have been catching them on jigs, mirro-lure, and live mullet. The flounder bit is still going on, live mullet on a carolina rig has been the deal. Fall fishing is in full swing. Now is the time to plan you Oct. and Nov. fishing trips. Give me a call at 910-264-1807.
A long the coast the big spanish mackerel, albacore, and blues are biting. We have been crusing the beach looking for fish feeding on top and casting spoons into the schools. Lots of fun. The Big Red drum are along the beach and around the inshore reefs. These are trophy fish and fight great. The grey trout bite has been good. I have been tagging fish for NC State, so if you catch a tagged fish, you get $100.00. A few flounder in the ocean and lots of sharks. Fall fishing is in full swing.
