Carolina Explorer 11-2 fishing report. We are catching fish in Carolina Beach. Redfish, Flounder, Trout, Blues, Whiting, and Spots. Now is a great time to catch fish.
I want to thank you for reading a Carolina Beach fishing report. We have had strong winds and high seas, this does not affect the calm backwaters of the sound and cape fear river. Inshore in Carolina Beach we have been catching redfish on Gulp, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and if the wind would let up great opportunity on the fly. The flounder are hitting all of the above in the creeks and waterways, along with live bait. The trout are pick up at the inlets and ususal river haunts, get it halloween. I will say the fish are in about 10% of the water. That means going with a professional guide will greatly increase your chances of catching these fish. Give me a call 910-264-1807 and set up your fishing trip.
Look at the pics, enjoy, and call me when you want some great inshore or coastal action in Carolina Beach, Wrightsville Beach or Southport.
Rick from Washington state, holding a great CB redfish. It blew 25 the entire time he was here. We made the best of it and caught plenty of fish. We ended the day with 18 reds, with 7 slotfish, a flounder, and a trout to have a inshore slam.
Mark was happy to finally catch a slot fish. He and Rick fished hard, it just seemed that Rick was catching the big ones. This one was released with many thanks to the fish gods. Thanks Mark.
Rick and Mark with an end of the day redfish double. It was blowing. They were here to fish and we caught them. What a awesome way to end the day on a double. We also had a killer sunset to watch on the ride home. Fished with Rick and Tom the next day and landed 6 slot redfish with a few small guys as well. Great group, look foward to fishing with them next year.
Melissa and Rodney with one of several nice specks we caught on a cool, windy day in Carolina Beach. We had the kids along as well catching spot, croaker, and whiting. See you soon.
Had the pleasure of guiding one of my toughest clients/critics today, my lovely wife, Carla. From the look of this smile, I think she is happy. I know she was, what a nice 22inch flounder on a gulp alive. It was also the luckiest flounder in CB because she released it. I was thinking crabmeat and stuffing.
I feel cheesy for posting a pic of myself on the report. I just want ya’ll to know that we also caught a few redfish this day, 9 with 3 slot fish. Just fishing to stay on the fish and cover new ground. This way I can put you on the fish when you come to Carolina Beach. All fish released so you can catch them.
Thanks for reading a Carolina Beach fishing report. If I can help you, your friends, or family with a great fishing trip, give me a call at 910-264-1807.
