Memorial Day weekend is here we are blessed with a light wind blowing out of the west the rain has finally stopped.Cape Fear fishing is now in full swing with a variety of fish showing up spanish mackerel,cobia,king mackerel, are here and are all with in 5 miles of the beach.
Cape Fear River backwater fishing has been hindered some what by all the rain we have had,but the red drum,flounder have started to bite,locating the fish has been a challenge with the muddy waters in the back bays,but fishing in the shallows has always been a challenge.
