Cape Fear Guide Fishing Report

North Carolina Inshore Fishing

Red Drum Release

North Carolina inshore fishing in the Cape Fear Region of North Carolina seems to really be growing in popularity I spotted boats scatttered all along the river back from my charter on September 11,2010.
Weather this past Saturday was all most ideal, tides were extremly high with water flooding over most banks in Buzzard Bay and the creeks behind Bald Head Island.Red drum bite did not last long but the fish were mostly over the slot size of  18″ to 27″  and really fighting hard.
Flounder bite seem to have slowed, some in the back bay area, but quite a few flounders were caught Saturday along the Cape Fear River.
